If you have been charged with a Misdemeanor by a Sheriff’s Deputy in Phoenix, you probably have court at the Downtown Justice Court complex. The Court is located at 601 W. Jefferson in Phoenix, Arizona. If you have additional questions for a criminal defense attorney, you can always call us at 602-989-5000.
There are few things you need to know about this court. The County Attorney’s office is located on the north side of the first floor. If you have a case where the prosecution is not seeking jail time, you will probably meet with a prosecutor. They will request that you sign a clipboard and wait for them to call your case.
Keep in mind that the prosecutor is not your attorney. Prosecutors can not give you legal advice or tell you what to do. You always have the right to ask for additional time to consider any plea offer that they make. Do not be pressured into signing a document that you do not completely understand.
For any misdemeanor or DUI case, you can always call our criminal defense attorneys. We have former prosecutors on our staff who understand how this court works. Feel free to call our lawyers for a free over the phone consultation.
