Paul is a former police officer in Arizona, where he served as a patrol officer, acting sergeant, and detective. Paul was an instructor at numerous law enforcement academies, including the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy (ALEA), where he trained police recruits on search and seizure and laws of arrest. Lastly, Paul currently serves with the United States Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General’s Corps (“JAG”). His duties as a JAG have taken him around the world, where he has served in the administration of military justice system.
As an attorney, Paul has served as a city prosecutor, where he handled DUI, Assault, Domestic Violence, and Shoplifting offenses. Paul was an Administrative Law Judge with the Arizona Department of Transportation – Executive Hearing Office, where he presided over Admin per Se/Implied Consent Hearings. Paul also worked as a tribal prosecutor for the Gila River Indian Community, handling both felony and misdemeanor matters. Recently Paul worked with the United States Attorney’s Office as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, where he prosecuted Border Crimes. Additionally, Paul has experience as an Assistant Chief Counsel with the Department of Homeland Security – Immigration & Customs Enforcement, where he worked in removal proceedings in Federal Immigration Court.
Paul joined our firm in July 2019 and is assigned to misdemeanor criminal defense, primarily in the Phoenix Municipal Court.
