El Mirage Municipal Court

We always tell our clients to dress appropriately for El Mirage Municipal Court. Clothes should be clean and not torn. Avoid wearing trendy jeans that are stylishly ripped. The court will bar you for wearing beach attire, sandals or revealing clothing. Do not wear anything that has a vulgar or provocative message.

Avoid making any loud noises or conversation. Make sure cell phones are off. Do not smoke or chew gum. The bailiff tends to remove people for any disorderly conduct.

When you are called to come forward DO NOT LEAN ON THE JUDGE’S BENCH. It is very difficult to not lean forward, especially considering it can be very stressful while you are trying to listen to the court. However, the court has a very strict written policy about leaning forward to rest on the bench.

We advise our clients to not bring their children to court if at all possible. The Court can ask you to remove your children if they are being disruptive. This can be very awkward for you. Finally, if you have a warrant for your arrest or are being sentenced for a crime, it’s POSSIBLE that you could be taken into custody. Make sure that you have made the appropriate arrangements to care for children, Pets, etc
